Wheelchair Project
As part of the ministries to help share Christ's love, Girassol is sending out a container of wheelchairs from the UK to Mozambique. These chairs can then be used to help those with mobility problems in Mozambique.
Monthly Discipleship and craft course for Pastor's wives
Sharon is leading a course equipping Pastor's wives with skills so they can provide for their families. They are making a range of items to sell in local markets and overseas.
Bi-vocational Training Programmes - Electrical Skills
These courses are aimed at helping the church members gain skills to help them in ministry and life.
The first of these courses was an electrical safety course ran by Ian Thompson, teaching basic wiring and electrical skills. At the end of the course the students worked together to wire light fitting into one of the churches. This was a real blessing.

Culinary course
The second bi-vocational course, was the culinary course ran by Sharon, where 12 students met each Monday from 12.30pm until 4pm for 10 weeks. Sharon taught theory and also practical skills. In the theory class they used material produced by the World Health Organisation called 5 Keys to Safer Food. In the practical session they learnt how to make cakes for special occasions, cupcakes, main meals and desserts.
CAM School
After arriving in Mozambique Melvin was involved in working on a construction project for the Christian Academy of Mozambique (CAM), this ministry had a desire to relocate in order to improve facilities. This project was completed in August 2011. During this time Sharon focused on learning the language and looking after the twins.
Furniture for schools and seminaries
A container full of school furniture from Northern Ireland was sent out to Mozambique in 2010. The desks and chairs in this container have been used in different schools and seminaries connected to OMS ministry in Mozambique.
